The Concours at Wynn Las Vegas: A Supercar Spectacle Emerges
A New Contender Enters the Arena
For decades, Pebble Beach has been the undisputed crown jewel of the automotive concours world. The mere mention of its name conjures images of vintage automotive perfection, a gathering of the world’s most exclusive and historically significant cars, judged on their impeccable condition and historical accuracy. However, as the automotive landscape evolves, so too must the definition of “perfection.”
Indeed, in recent years, a seismic shift has occurred within the hypercar community, a redefinition of what constitutes a premier automotive showcase. For many, the focus has moved away from the traditional, museum-quality displays of concours past to the bleeding edge of automotive engineering. The death of the Geneva Motor Show left a vacuum in the global automotive calendar, a void that has been expertly filled by a new breed of events that celebrate the pinnacle of modern automotive performance.
Among these rising stars, the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas has emerged as the undeniable frontrunner. While The Quail has long been the go-to venue for supercar unveilings, the Las Vegas Concours has taken a bold step onto the global stage, challenging the established order of automotive events. This past Halloween, I had the privilege of attending the 2025 iteration of the Las Vegas Concours, and what I experienced has completely reshaped my understanding of what makes a world-class car show.
To understand the significance of this shift, one must look at the evolution of the supercar world itself. In the past, debuts were reserved for the traditional international auto shows, but now, manufacturers are increasingly opting for more intimate and exclusive settings to unveil their latest creations. This is where The Quail has traditionally shined, but the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas has taken this to a whole new level.
The Spectacle of the Wynn
The Wynn Las Vegas is no stranger to luxury, and its automotive showcase is no exception. In fact, the 2025 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas set a new standard for automotive extravagance, featuring a collection of cars that would make even the most jaded enthusiast’s jaw drop.
One of the most staggering displays was the Bugatti Veyron section. The factory produced only 450 Veyrons in total, and an astonishing 48 of them were present in Las Vegas. This included a Vitesse Super Sport, a rare model of the Veyron that was on display to celebrate the car’s 20th anniversary. The Bugatti section was rounded out by a Bolide, a Centodieci, a Chiron Super Sport, a Divo, a Mistral, and a model of the upcoming Tourbillon, an 18-cylinder hybrid that will replace the Chiron. To have more than 10% of all the Bugatti Veyrons ever built in one place is a feat that has yet to be matched by any other automotive event in the world.
But the Bugatti spectacle was just the beginning. The Lamborghini section was equally breathtaking, featuring more than 230 Lamborghinis, the largest gathering of these Italian exotics in history. This included a Veneno Coupe, one of only three ever sold to the public, a Sesto Elemento, one of only 10 produced, a Centenario Coupe and Convertible, both limited to 20 units each, and a Reventón, another model with only 21 units produced. The last time all these limited-production models were seen together in the same place was at the factory’s museum.
For those who prefer European hypercars, the Wynn Concours featured an impressive collection of Paganis, including a Zonda Revolution, one of only five ever built, dozens of Huayras, a number of Utopias, and the debut of the Huayra Codalunga Speedster, a limited-edition hypercar that sells for $7 million before taxes and tariffs. This display was particularly noteworthy because it marked the first public showing of the Codalunga Speedster, and it was revealed in the presence of Horatio Pagani himself, who was honored for his contributions to automotive design.
However, the Wynn Concours was not just about hypercars. The event also featured some of the world’s most sought-after supercars, including Koenigseggs, Gumpert Apollo, Czingers, and Nilu, as well as the debut of the McLaren Project Endurance race car, a car that has been teased for months and finally made its official public appearance at the Wynn. Additionally, the event featured a HWA EVO, a Mercedes-AMG One, two Oldsmobile Aerotechs, and a McLaren F1, making it a truly comprehensive celebration of automotive excellence.
The Future of Automotive Events
The question that was on everyone’s mind at the Wynn Las Vegas was: how can the organizers possibly top this next year? The answer is simple: they can’t, and they don’t need to. The 2025 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas was a watershed moment in the automotive world, and it has set a new standard for what constitutes a premier automotive event.
The organizers of the Wynn Las Vegas Concours have succeeded in creating an event that appeals to a younger generation of car enthusiasts, those who are passionate about modern performance and cutting-edge engineering. The Quail has long been the go-to venue for supercar unveilings, but the Wynn has taken this to a whole new level, offering a more accessible and affordable alternative for attendees.
The fact that the organizers have managed to attract more than 40 Paganis and 48 Bugatti Veyrons to a single event is a testament to their ability to organize and execute world-class automotive showcases. These cars are not just parked on a lawn; they are displayed in a way that celebrates their engineering, their design, and their history.
The future of automotive events is clearly heading in the direction of modern performance and exclusivity. As the automotive industry continues to evolve, the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas is poised to become the premier destination for supercar enthusiasts from around the world.
If you are a supercar enthusiast, you owe it to yourself to attend the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas. This event is a celebration of automotive excellence, and it is an experience that you will not forget.
