While Pebble Beach remains the reigning monarch, a new challenger is emerging from the glitz and glamour of the Las Vegas Strip: The Concours at Wynn Las Vegas. This burgeoning event has rapidly transformed from a regional gathering into arguably the world’s premier destination for supercar enthusiasts.

But as the tastes of car aficionados shift, so do the events they favor.

The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering has long been considered the essential appetizer to the main event at Pebble Beach. Its focus on late-model supercars and hypercars has attracted a dedicated following, and for some, The Quail has surpassed Pebble Beach’s Sunday event in terms of relevance and excitement. The demise of the Geneva International Auto Show further elevated The Quail’s status by creating a vacuum in the supercar calendar.
The Lamborghini Aventador debuted at Geneva in 2011, and its successor, the Revuelto, was revealed online. However, Lamborghini’s much-anticipated Temerario, the successor to the Huracán, made its world premiere at The Quail in 2024. Similarly, the seven-figure Fenomeno was unveiled at the 2025 Quail. Bugatti introduced the Chiron at Geneva in 2016, but the Divo (2018) and Mistral (2022) were both debuted at The Quail. This trend highlights The Quail’s growing importance as a launchpad for the world’s most exclusive new vehicles.
For years, I believed The Quail’s position was secure. However, my experience at the 2025 Las Vegas Concours changed my perspective entirely. While I attended the 2024 event and enjoyed it, it felt more regional than global. This year, I attended as a guest of Czinger, but I quickly realized that The Wynn Las Vegas Concours is no longer just a local show; it is a major international automotive event.
A Spectacle of Unprecedented Scale
The 2025 Las Vegas Concours showcased an astonishing collection of vehicles that redefined the scope of automotive gatherings. The Bugatti display was arguably the most impressive element. With 48 Bugatti Veyrons on the lawn, the Wynn celebrated the Veyron’s 20th anniversary by displaying more than 10 percent of the total 450 Veyrons ever built. This staggering number included a Vitesse Super Sport, a Bolide, a Centodieci, a Chiron Super Sport, a Divo, a Mistral, and a preview of the upcoming 18-cylinder hybrid Tourbillon. Seeing such a significant portion of a legendary supercar lineup in one place was a truly awe-inspiring experience.
The show also featured an incredible assembly of Paganis. While the exact number was estimated at over 40, it included several Zondas, including a rare Zonda Revolution (one of five), numerous Huayras, Utopias, and the debut of the Pagani Huayra Codalunga Speedster. This particular model is planned for a limited run of just 10, with each priced at a staggering $7 million before taxes and tariffs. The green prototype in attendance belonged to Apple’s Tim Cook. The fact that Pagani chose to debut this exclusive model at the Wynn Vegas Concours, and that the event hosted the largest Pagani gathering ever in North America, underscores its growing prestige. Horatio Pagani himself was honored on stage by host Justin Bell for his contributions to automotive design.
Lamborghini enthusiasts were equally delighted by the massive display of Italian supercars. The 2025 Las Vegas Concours hosted the largest Lamborghini gathering in history, with an estimated 230 Lamborghinis on display out of the 600 total vehicles at the event. This included rare models like the Veneno Coupe (one of three), the Sesto Elemento (one of 10), the Centenario Coupe and Convertible (each one of 20), and the Reventón (one of 21). To see these ultra-exclusive “few-off” models together in one place was a flabbergasting sight, reminiscent of a special museum exhibition.
Even in the interest of brevity, it’s important to mention the other remarkable vehicles present. This included Koenigseggs, a Gumpert Apollo, Czingers, Nilu cars, the debut of the McLaren Project Endurance race car, and a judged section featuring a former Pebble Beach Concours-winning 1929 Mercedes-Benz 680 S Barker Tourer. The HWA EVO, a Mercedes-AMG One, two Oldsmobile Aerotechs, and a McLaren F1 were also on display. It was, without a doubt, one of the most impressive car shows I have ever attended.
A Strategic Shift in the Automotive Calendar
Two questions dominated conversations at the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas. The first was: “How could they possibly top this next year?” The organizers have a monumental task ahead of them, but given their success this year, I have no doubt they will deliver another spectacular event.
The second, more intriguing question, came from OEM carmakers: “Should we even bother attending The Quail next year?” This is a valid concern. Consider the economics: A single ticket to The Quail costs $1,300 for returning attendees and $1,600 for first-timers. OEMs reportedly spend around $400,000 to place a car on a stand there for just six hours. In contrast, the Wynn Vegas Concours charges a fraction of that: roughly $100 per ticket.
For automakers, the decision becomes clearer. Paying a small fraction of the cost to showcase vehicles at a venue that is fast becoming the supercar capital of the world makes strategic sense. Many attendees also questioned the necessity of attending The Quail in the future, musing that perhaps Las Vegas and Moda Miami are sufficient for their needs.
Beyond the financial advantages, the attendee experience at the Wynn Las Vegas Concours is far superior. Attendees won’t face heart-stopping hotel prices or soul-crushing traffic. Las Vegas is designed to host large gatherings, making logistics seamless for attendees. Making dinner reservations is simple, and the city offers a plethora of entertainment options to enhance the overall experience.

A few years ago, Geneva was the undisputed center of the supercar world. While I cannot predict the future, I can assure you that the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas is now on my must-attend list. You should make it a priority on yours as well.
