Until this past Halloween, I firmly believed that The Quail’s position atop the hierarchy of automotive events was secure. I had attended the 2024 Las Vegas Concours and, while I had fun, it struck me as a relatively small, provincial affair. However, this year was different. I attended the 2025 Las Vegas Concours, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. I had been invited as a guest of Czinger to promote a new project, and I was skeptical. But man, am I glad I went. What I witnessed was nothing short of a revolution in the world of car shows.
The standard definition of “concours d’elegance” is “a show or contest of vehicles and accessories in which the entries are judged chiefly on excellence of appearance and turnout.” In the past, these events were defined by the presence of rare vintage automobiles, often worth millions of dollars. However, the 2025 Las Vegas Concours has redefined the concept, showcasing a level of automotive excellence that is simply mind-blowing. The sheer scale and quality of the vehicles present were staggering.
The Bugatti Exhibit: A Veyron Wonderland
One of the most astounding aspects of the 2025 Las Vegas Concours was the Bugatti exhibit. The organizers had managed to secure 48 Bugatti Veyrons for the show—that’s nearly 10 percent of the total Veyrons ever produced. Of the 450 Veyrons built, 48 were in Vegas, a staggering display of automotive engineering. Bugatti also brought a beautiful white Vitesse Super Sport to celebrate the Veyron’s 20th anniversary, along with a Bolide, Centodieci, Chiron Super Sport, Divo, Mistral, and a model of the upcoming Tourbillon, the 18-cylinder hybrid that will replace the Chiron. Displaying more than 10 percent of all Veyrons ever built in one place is a feat that will likely never be repeated. The sheer audacity of this display left me speechless. It was as if the entire history of the Veyron was laid out before me, a testament to Bugatti’s relentless pursuit of automotive perfection.
The Pagani Pavilion: A Spectacle of Carbon Fiber
The youth may prefer Paganis, and the 2025 Las Vegas Concours did not disappoint. There were more than 40 Paganis in attendance, a record-breaking number. While I didn’t get the exact count (I was too busy drooling over the Veyrons), there were several Zondas, including a rare Zonda Revolution (one of five ever built), dozens of Huayras, a bunch of Utopias, and—to the chagrin of The Quail—the debut of the Huayra Codalunga Speedster. This stunning machine, limited to 10 units at $7 million each, belongs to none other than Apple’s Tim Cook. The fact that not only was the 2025 Las Vegas Concours the largest Pagani gathering ever to happen in North America, but also that Horatio Pagani himself (honored onstage by emcee Justin Bell for his contributions to car design) and his team chose this venue to introduce a new car says something profound about the event’s growing stature. More on that later, but for now, it is sufficient to say that witnessing more than 40 Paganis in one place—that’s more than the factory produces in a year—was a mind-bending experience.

The Lamborghini section was equally impressive. The 2025 Las Vegas Concours was the largest gathering of Lamborghinis ever assembled, with an estimated 230 of the 600 cars present on the show floor. This is a mind-blowing statistic when you consider that Lamborghini produces around 600 cars per year. Of those 230, there was a Veneno Coupe (one of three publically sold), a Sesto Elemento (one of 10), a Centenario coupe and convertible, and a Reventón (one of 21). The last time I had seen all those “few-offs” (as Lamborghini now calls them) together in the same place was at the factory’s private museum. It was a flabbergasting display of precious, high-horsepower Italian metal and composites that left me utterly breathless.

In an attempt at brevity, I am leaving out all the other incredible displays. There were Koenigseggs, the Gumpert Apollo, the Czingers, the Nilu, the McLaren Project Endurance race car debut, all the cars that were actually judged (including a former and insane Pebble Beach Concours-winning 1929 Mercedes-Benz 680 S Barker Tourer), the HWA EVO, a Mercedes-AMG One, two Oldsmobile Aerotechs, and a McLaren F1. That’s one hell of a car show. The sheer density of automotive masterpieces was overwhelming, and it was clear that the organizers had gone to extraordinary lengths to bring the best cars in the world to Las Vegas.
What Comes Next? The Uncertainty for Future Events
Two threads of conversation kept coming my way when I stopped and chatted with fellow Wynn Vegas Concours attendees. The big question: “How the hell are they going to top this next year?” No clue, but godspeed to the Wynn. The other and frankly far more intriguing query kept coming from the OEM carmakers: “Should we even bother doing The Quail next year?” Good question. Perhaps I should say godspeed to The Quail, too.
